Rental Assistance Program

Monthly help with rent for lower-income working families with children in BC. Eligibility was expanded in 2025.

Who qualifies

  • You must be a working family with at least one dependent child, before-tax household income of $60,000 or less, and under $100,000 in assets.
  • You must have lived in BC for 12 months, be renting, pay more than 30% of income on rent, and have some employment income.

    Apply through BC Housing

    Download and complete the RAP application. Include proof of income, rent, and your children.

    • 💡 You also need less than $100,000 in assets (savings, investments, and property; RRSPs and vehicles don't count).
